| I had to go out of town yesterday for meetings and stayed in San Luis Obispo overnight with my sister and her family....they own Tessa from my first litter and she slept with me on the bed all night! It's funny how she still totally remembers me from when she was a baby! So, Kelly cleaned the dog pen and box and had to feed them and I think now realizes how much work a litter is, especially at this point! They are messy, loud, stinky, but absolutely the cutest and sweetest little critters and it's hard not to be around them all the time. They are very active now and growl, bite each other, play with toys, etc. Mom is still being amazing and cleaning up a lot after their potty, even though they eat two meals/day now that consists of goat's milk formula, raw ground beef in the morning added to that, and raw veggies put through the food processor at night with their formula. They also have access to water and lap from that and wade in it! So, I just got home an hour ago and changed their bedding which was quite bad, and let them out in the sunroom to play for a while, and now they are sound asleep. Three of them jumped over the barrier on the whelping box last night! Comet was the first and she seems to be the ring leader in this bunch....kind of reminds me of Honey, who I kept from the last litter. |
